Pharmacist-In -charge

Job Duties

  • Compound and dispense medications, following prescriptions issued by medical practitioners;
  • Provide medication therapy management to help patients get the best outcomes from their medications by actively managing medication therapy and by identifying, preventing and resolving medication related problems.
  • Weigh, measure and mix drugs and other medical compounds and fill bottles or capsules with correct quantity and composition of preparation;
  • Provide information to customers on potential drug interactions and potential adverse reactions;
  • Maintain adequate inventory of prescription and non- prescription medications at all times.
  • Provide guidance to customers in respect of storage of medications;
  • Insure patients understanding of prescribed instructions.
  • Counsel the patient population on their minor and seasonal ailments and suggest over the counter medications.
  • Inventory control, ordering brand & generic drugs, adult vaccines and returning expired merchandise.
  • Maintenance of patient Medication profiles as per the State and federal regulations.
  • Identify and notify the appropriate health care professionals of any drug-drug, drug- food interactions and adverse drug reactions.
  • Train, manage and supervise other pharmacy personnel like pharmacy technicians and interns.
  • Respond to and assist in the audits from state board of Pharmacy, third party prescription benefit managers and any other relevant bodies.

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree Required in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Pharmaceutical Management.

Pharmacy Manager

Job Duties

  • Perform market research relating to over the counter products & assist the vice president to help determine the potential increase in sales.
  • Gather data on competitors and analyze prices, sales and methods of Marketing and distributors and assist the Pharmacy department, and vice president to help determine the products to carry.
  • Assist the vice president to formulate pricing on over the counter merchandise according to requirements of profitability of store operations.
  • Work with the vice president to authorize the sales promotion activities and direct merchandise display.
  • Create bi-annual sales promotion activities report for the president to review and establish changes.
  • Supervise employees such as store & front desk clerks in sales work, taking of inventories, reconciling each with sales receipts.
  • Keep operating records and proper daily record of transactions for accounting purposes as per the company’s policies.
  • Place merchandise orders and prepare requisitions to replenish merchandise on hands.
  • Ensure compliance of employee’s security, sales and record keeping procedures as per the company policies.
  • Evaluate stock clerks and front desk clerk’s performances and create performance review reports for vice president.
  • Review Medicare patient’s eligibility for medications and ordering of medications as per insurance requirements.
  • Assist the president in developing, implementing and monitoring policies and procedures that reflect quality, and safe delivery of health care services and provide exceptional customer and guest relations Analyze the departmental operational program on a continuing basis and make recommendations to the president for any changes thus ensuring smooth pharmacy operations.
  • Schedule employees and delegate work assignments to the store & front clerks and utilize supplies to maximize the store profits.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure department compliance with policies, procedures, by laws, regulatory requirements, and best practice guidelines; medications as per insurance requirements.

Required

  • Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or PharmD.
